Quality Gunslips has been producing hand-made leather and canvas products in the UK since 1973, initially supplying the gun trade with accessories made from the finest materials in the tradition of British craftsmanship.

Launched under the name Edge & Hunt, the firm – which is based in Mid Wales, Sarnau, Llanymynech, Powys, can lay claim to being the originator of the word ‘Gunslip’, as it tried to find a common description for what we called gun covers and the Americans termed gun sleeves.

Now after 35 years manufacturing hand-made canvas and leather goods for the sporting, leisure, fashion, travel and business markets, Martin Hunt Founder & Managing Director of Quality Gunslips Ltd has retired and handed over the company to ourselves, Jane Walford and Elaine Thomas. We have worked for the company for a combined period of 17 years, making the wide range of hand-made products that are renowned for their quality, durability and style.

Although the company name has changed to QGL Ltd, our products will continue to carry the Quality Gunslips label.

All our products are completely hand-made using the highest quality British materials, at our workshops in the small rural hamlet of Sarnau Mid-Wales.

We provide high quality, durable, yet stylish products at realistic prices and we strive to offer a personal knowledgeable service dedicated to satisfying each customers requirements and specifications.

In particular the company has developed excellent relationships with Japanese buyers, making a range of leisure and fashion bags developed exclusively for them.

We also offer an almost unique bespoke service, making such items as straps for musical instrument cases, bags for a leading boule association, straps for electronic testing equipment and leather parts for classic cars. Please contact us directly to discuss your requirements.
